Anna Behrens
(She/Her) QLD, Director
Anna is a Service Delivery Manager in the non-profit community services field. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, and has a particular passion for strategic and collaborative leadership. She has experience in program management, finance, consulting and business development.
Growing up in a regional town, Anna grew to understand there were large knowledge gaps in the medical field. A heteronormative approach was almost always taken in the GP's office for health discussions. This combined with standard procedures still often used today (e.g. measuring BMI) without considering patient history and individuality (i.e. eating disorders or differences in racial body composition) inspired her to join QENDO board of Directors and the overall conversation in women's reproductive health.
In 2019, Anna was awarded her Bachelor of Business whilst working full time and is currently pursuing further study. She is passionate about giving back to the community and empowering women of colour & LGBTQI+ folk who are regularly underrepresented in the medical industry.
-

With a diagnosis of Adenomyosis and Endometriosis in January 2024 through the latest technology and AI available to scan and analyse, she was set on her mission, leading her to the appointment to QENDO Board of Directors in February 2024. She is on a mission to increase treatment (supported through the incredible resources available from QENDO) and advocate for research, education, change and quicker diagnosis times than 6-10 years through the latest technology. Renee Rankin
(She/her) QLD, President
My name is Renee Rankin (she/her), and I am incredibly excited to be joining such a passionate and dedicated community.
Currently, I serve as the National PPEP Talk Manager at the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia. Previously, I was the Chief Executive Officer of Chronic Pain Australia, where I spent the last three years focusing on service delivery and consumer advocacy in the chronic pain sector. My journey has provided me with a wealth of personal lived experience and professional expertise, which I am eager to bring to QENDO.
Before my involvement in the Not for Profit sector, I gained valuable experience in State Government and spent two decades in corporate business. My background in project management and customer experience has given me diverse skills and insights. However, my true passion lies in creating a supportive environment where individuals can alleviate feelings of isolation, establish connections, and discover their purpose.
I am deeply committed to raising awareness, education, and empowering people living with chronic pain. A key focus for me is ensuring that the voices of those with lived experiences are central to policy development. I believe in the power of collaboration and look forward to working closely with our partners across the sector to drive meaningful change.
Joining QENDO is an exciting new chapter for me, and I am thrilled to lead our efforts in supporting and empowering those affected by endometriosis and related conditions. Together, we can make a significant impact and continue to advance our mission.
I look forward to connecting with each of you and working together to achieve our shared goals.
