Connected Communities in Central West Queensland

Welcome to the Central West Queensland QENDO Community!

  • Meet your local coordinator - Ella

Hi! My name is Ella Brady, I am 22 years old and I live in Central Queensland in a little town called Clermont. Our population in Clermont is just under 3,000 people ( this includes all surrounding stations etc!). I am currently working as a Governess teaching two beautiful little kids! I work between two cattle stations one being just over 22,600 ha and the other over 10,000 ha!

Although I work as a Governess, I am actually one subject off being a Registered Nurse! Once graduating I am hoping to work within women’s health and then go on to further study to be a midwife!

Alongside all of this, I also am diagnosed with Stage Four Endometriosis. My diagnosis came as no surprise after 9 years of debilitating pain I was finally diagnosed in 2023. To cut a very long story short, I was flown by RFDS to the closest “metro” town which was 500kms away where I was sent for emergency surgery which then identified my Endometriosis.

I also have a page called Rural Endo which I launched in early 2024, as a hub for rural women to find information on endometriosis within the rural setting and for a place for them to have a chat or a shoulder to cry on if needed. I also created this page as an outlet for myself to be able to document my battles with the disease as well.
